[LiSA-Users] How to install and use the LISA ?

Hi,

Unfortunately the INSTALL file is outdated and nobody bothered to do
anything about it.

In newer LiSA releases the source code tree is reorganized,
so /usr/src/lisa/userspace/swctl (supposing you extracted the tarball
in /usr/src) is no longer the actual binary file, but a directory
containing the binary file.

Moreover, swctl is an ancient tool and you shouldn't use it at all.
Instead use the full-featured LiSA command line interface (cli), which
is called swcli.

To make it short, instead of stage 6 of the INSTALL file, you should cd
to /usr/src/lisa/userspace and issue a "make install" command as root.

You don't need to telnet locally to your box to access the cli. Simply
run swcli as root (make sure the kernel module is loaded).

If you're interested in the telnet feature, run swclid as root - it
might actually not work with the current tarball from the site due to
some stupid bug in the Makefile, which causes the swclid binary
installed in /usr/sbin to actually be a clone of swcli.
